Being as bored as I am, I have a lot of time being that I'm unemployed, I decided to redo (modify) the newspaper supplement cover for the movie. It would be interesting to see if anyone can decern what I did? http://i192.photobucket.com/albums/z19/BOEING299B/12OCLOCKHIGH-2.jpg I also decided to crea...

I might suggest that you try to find a volunteer (a World War 2 vet from the area) to be the tour guide. Teach him everything about the aircraft that you'd like to be presented to the public and, when there's no-one visiting, let him (or her) be a go-for. Let him (or her) feel needed and helpful. Ju...

It would be interesting to know just where it's going to go for restoration. Tallichet told Wilbur Richardson (a friend of mine) that it was going to Pima Museum's shop. But, since he's no longer around I'm sure things have changed, or not. :? I still have some brand new waist gun doors I'd like to ...

PC-WIX TURDS

Well, fellow Americans, it appears that the turds at the PC-WIX site have finally become totally ANTI-AMERICAN (they must be dumbocrates). They obviously don't believe in FREE SPEECH , because they love to block people from expressing any opinions that they don't like. And now they obviously don't b...

A friend of mine at The Air Museum, Wilbur Richardson, bought a number of blinkers for the "Lily" some time ago. When the government ass-holes showed up about all those radium instruments they took them too. Wilbur told them that they belonged to him, because he paid for them, they just ignored him ...

Hi to all: I'm doing better, and thanks to everyone for thinking about me. Had my last (I hope) operation a few weeks ago (they reinstalled my small intestines), and had the staples pulled out about a week ago. I guess I can call myself a cancer survivor now, although it's something no one really wa...

The B-17 "Fortress on the Plains" sculpture looks interesting, however there doesn't appear to be enough wing span. 8)

My only regret is that I didn't take the nose frame piece from the MGM lot when I had the chance.

That way I'd have something to donate to the restoration.

Even though that very same item is what's on the aircraft now, it would have been a way for me to forever be connected to the Swoose. 8)

Although I did climb into every B-17 at Dothan, at one time or another, I never took any pictures of the cockpits.

Sorry. 8)

I find it interesting that no one has commented on the props of the four 1820s on 44-85813 being Curtiss instead of Ham-Standards. 8)

From some drawings that I've seen the remote controlled belly turret was (basically) the same as the upper turret, only it was turned upside down for installation. And, instead of clear segmented plexiglas panels it had metal plates.
