Lonesome Polecat

Glad to be of help, Eric! With all the discussion of this airplane, it would have been a shame not to have photos. I'll drop your prints in the mail soon and get them back to you.

This is one reason why I keep a disposable camera in the car... you just never know what you will see.

B-17 Photos

The photos from Eric arrived today, so I scanned them in and have them hosted. In order to conserve bandwidth for our dial-up brethren, the ones on this page are smaller versions. The full size photos can be found here and here . http://okwreckchasing.org/images/roscoe/roscoe1tn.jpg http://okwreckch...

User Shield

Hey Scott, We've chatted in the past about the phpBB script. I use it too with my website. I'd like to recommend to you one of the mods I have installed. User Shield is a mod from the phpBB site, and takes but a few minutes to install. The way it works is if you have forum activation sent to User, t...

Re: B-17 crash, Cape Lookout OR, USA

B-17G 42-5367 crashed 11 February 1943; 17 miles east of WW AAF. Acft was inbound on an instrument approach when it struck a ridge. All ten crew were killed in the impact. Probable cause was the pilot's approach at below minimum altitude, and "undesirable radio range facilities" as the beam was off ...

Re: Board Is Back

Glad to see the board is back in business, Scott! phpBB is a great script....I use it on my website as well. But I know what a pain it can be when problems arise. I recently had to move to a new (very php friendly) host after a second major virus attack on the old host. Fortunately, though, we were ...
