44-85828 Instrument panel
I am restoring the instrument panel for Tanker B30/B37. The numbers are; 44-85828/N9323R. It is the panel used while it was still an air tanker. Does anyone have a photo of the instrument panel from that usage? I saw some posts on WIX about the aircraft while it was a tanker, but no instrument panel...

B-17 Parts Listing
The B-17 Owner's Co-op will hold it's meeting in Savannah, Georgia, on November 4th & 5th. Air Depot has come out with a short supplemental list for the meeting. If you would like a copy, just contact me at the numbers below, and I will send you one. We also came out with a list of the parts that wi...

Re: Long Beach B-17F Factory Numbers
Are the photos of the B-17Gs from your collection, or on a site somewhere? I am looking for a photo of 44-6106, which became "Gremlin's Hideout. It was piloted by a friend of mine, Roy Mousty.

Re: William Wyler's Memphis Belle
Dan McGovern told me that his detachment was with the 305th BG, and that another detachment was with the 306th. I have never seen any of the extra 306th footage. I will contact the 306th Echoes Newsletter, and see if anyone has footage. Another good source for raw 8th AF B-17 footage is Dr. Milt Fur...

Re: William Wyler's Memphis Belle
Steve, You asked about the raw footage. William Wyler had several photographers from different bases shooting raw footage for the movie. Daniel McGovern shot quite a lot of footage at Chelveston, with the 305th BG. You used to be able to reach him through the 305th BG for copies of his footage. You ...

Re: Radio Room Light
We had several at Columbia Airmotive, but they have all gone to restorations. I may have a partial one around somewhere. We may still have the toggles and light bulbs left. Do you have the P/N handy?

Re: B-17 Cargo Ship
No self respecting B-17 enthusiast should ever be without his 3rd edition of "FINAL CUT." On page 48, you will find a picture of B-17 42-102715, N66573. It was purchased by Fairchild Aerial Services,[F.A.S.], in September of 1953. If you look closely, you can see the cargo door built into the pilot'...

B-17 Cargo Ship
I have just come across some interior photos of a cargo B-17. There are no exterior photos. They do not appear to match any of the C-108 photos. There is a large cargo door on the pilot's side of the fuselage. They mounted passenger style seats forward, where they removed the radio room bulkhead. Th...

Re: B-29 Tail Gun Canvas
I am currently working with 2 B-29 groups. I will tell them about it. Can you e-mail me the price? A couple of years ago, I found a complete, original tail gun sight.

Boeing Plates
Thanks for the info, Scott. I should have seen that it was the construction number, not the AAF serial number.

Boeing Data Plates
2 Boeing B-17 data plates just sold on ebay. The sale number is 230360398445. You can still see it, or check for it on past sales. They came from an estate sale in Chicago. One is an AAC plate from a B-17C destroyed in RAF service at Podington. The other is B-17F 42-5753, a converted photo ship.

Turret handle
Can you send me a picture of the handles. I have 2 different turret control handles that I am unsure of the usage. I also have a B-24 Turret hydraulic fluid reservoir, and several ball turret fire interrupter cams, 1 with the gear ring. I have several gear boxes and 1 ball turret side widow access p...
