I agree with you on some points. But I've learned, over the years, that very few, and I mean very few, kids past tens years of age want anything to do with aircraft, unless it's to fly from point A to point B. Their biggest problem is that, unlike you, me, and most people on these forums, they have ...

Things are always going to cost money no matter what. However, if everyone used that argument (about having to be overly wealthy) nothing would ever get done. Like I said, re-constructing something in a material other than what was originally used (composites rather that aluminum for example) can so...

REBUILDING THE PAST

With the discussion in this forum about re-constructing a B-17D/c, I was wondering what other aircraft types would people like to see re-constructed? Keeping in mind that it doesn't matter what kind of material is used, or which type of powerplant is installed, as long as it is full scale. I, for on...

It doesn't look played with. What it does look like is a contact print from a negative, with someone's finger print all over it.

From the picture on their link, it looks like another one in Greenland.

Hey there Joe: My partner and I both had left Alabama by 78. I moved back to California, he went to work in Louisana. In late 80 I went to work in Louisana, and stayed there till 82. During that time some things happened that caused both of us to part with our B-25. :-x :( We decided to donate it to...

Yes, that's N87Z. And the next three A-26s, as I remember, are the three that were sold to the people from Canada.

PROGRESS REPORTS

Don't (anyone) miunderstand me as I am totally for the re-constructing of a B-17D, and I will give whatever and whenever I can, be it money, expertise, or labor (if it gets located near me). :D However, this is an good example of what will turn people off from donating to the project - no idea of wh...

I remember all of this stuff being in a really old barn, up towards the airfield entrance, away from the main hangar.

Yeah, it's a shame. They were all given to The Air Museum, but Ed just couldn't afford the expensive of moving them. Also, there were other factors involved. :? And, like I said before, the people that had the money weren't interested in helping and the people that had the interest in helping didn't...

Where would an extra thousand pounds come from?

You stated that the differences were internal and minor. A thousand pounds ain't a minor difference.

And again, if the ailerons were rigged correctly there shouldn't be any real problems.

B-17 QUESTION

Over on the PC-WIX site there is a topic about the "Swoose" going to the Air Force Museum and "Shoo Shoo Shoo Baby" going to NASM. In the discussion someone makes the claim that "Shoo Shoo Shoo Baby" was given an "F" model wing (although it's not said where they got an "F" model wing or how they ide...
