Thanks for posting these fine, but sad photos, of one of our beloved B-17's. It makes you wonder, what could have caused such an accident?

A very special " tail number" indeed. It couldn't be more appropiate. Did you request that number, or is that the one they sent you?

Test Pilot

Clark Gable, Spencer Tracy, Myrna Loy. Directed by Victor Fleming, and also has Paul Mantz listed as Technic...

Re: Eager Beaver placard at Mighty Eighth Museum - wrong??
WOW!! You would think someone would have double checked this information BEFORE they printed it up for the sign in of all places the Eighth Air Force Museum. It is funny though that further up on the page they are asking "Where's Scott Thompson", if they had only checked with you first.

Re: RV-8 Website
Well it looks like there is finally a light at the end of the tunnel. What's it been Scott, six years? It really is taking shape, it even "LOOKS" like an airplane. Best of luck to Nathan, in Paris and in matrimony. Keep up the good work Scott, and keep us posted.

Re: Abandoned Plane Wrecks of the North website
Very interesting Web-Site. I never realized there were so many downed aircraft up north just left there. When you think about it though, it does make sense. As for that photo of the B-17, I couldn't make out what it was, without a closer look.
