OK, so we think we have identified the "Mary Ann", what about the the B-17 that crashes in the surf at the end of the movie? Any ideas which one it might be, or better yet, where was it and is it still there?

The B-17F and B-17G had wide chord, "Paddle Blade" propellers.
The ones in the photo are the narrow chord blades, sometimes called
"toothpick" props.

I am not currently building a B-17 nor do I intend to in the near future, but those are some darn fine photos. The articles that go along with them are great also, some very good reading. I thank you very much for posting them for all of us to enjoy.

She looks pretty to me, a bland B-17 is better then most other warbirds all gussied up!
