Fathers Plane-B-17, named Chief Wahoo

Chief Wahoo, was stationed in Algeria, North Africa, 1943
97th Bombwing 341stSq.

Any info or links would be much appreciated.

William Parks Colvard was bottom turret gunner/50 missions & my father.

My father-in-law SSGT Edward Potocki was the Flight Engineer/top turret on Chief Wahoo when she was transferred to the 815th Bomb Squadron 483rd Bomb Group in Italy in 1944. Aircraft was shot down over Milan on 30th April 44. Ed was WIA in the Chief on 28th April over Piombino Italy.



There was a cartoon about Chief Wahoo published in US, I have as a word doc, if anyone is interested

P.S. Orig. pilot was Talment & tailgunner was Basset, these two along with my fater are still alive.
