Just spotted a shot of VB-17G 44-83809 on one of my FB groups - just shows the tail number; Vice President Alben W. Barkley is in front of it. I'm on vacation right now but I'll post it this weekend.

Here we go; from the I Remember Paducah, KY When... FB page. Paducah Sun-Democrat, May 1, 1956 after the death of former Vice President (and Paducah native) Alben W. Barkley:

Chris,

No photos in my files, sorry to say. Interesting that this airplane later was part of the USAF B-17s sent to Bolivia in 1956.

As you note, it was a VB-17G, and assigned to Bolling after 1947.
