B-17G 44-8479 ‘Susie Sag Sump’ crash landed on the Firestone Rubber Plantation at Harbel, Liberia, January 1946. There is a YouTube film which includes shots of the plane being fuelled and later after salvage.

‘1948, crashed B 17G, "Susie Sag Sump", Firestone Rubber Plantation, Roberts Field, Liberia’

There is a name on the forward fuselage which appears to be ‘E K Hogen’ and presumably his title.
After combat service in England the plane transferred to the 305th Bomb Group for the Casey Jones project. The IARC records assignment to the European Wing, Air Transport Command. Would anyone care to guess who was using this bomber in 1945/46?

Wow, the B-17 looks pretty stripped. Interesting that the outer wing panels have been removed and the tail is located some distance from the fuselage. Thanks for posting.
