B-17 Tail Gun Sight
Finally, a project we have been working on for a few years now,
is starting to come together. The stinger-style tail gun sight
parts have been sitting in my basement, awaiting some attention.
Well, they are no longer in my basement.
Yeah, we are making a few. One or two may be available for sale
or trade, if you are interested.

B-17 Tail Gun Sights> Delivered!
I have had these for a couple weeks now, but I was waiting to get a bushing
to add.
Here are some pictures of the finished product. All done to original specs
by a friend of "Desert Rat", Stewart Byers at USASPARES in Pennsylvania.
MAJOR kudos to Stewart and his boys. It wasn't a big stretch for them,
as they make B-52 parts for the Air Force.
It is amazing how light this unit is. That is an aluminum tube main body, with a plug on one end, and the
site/training unit on the other.
Not a great picture, but there are two bushings - one steel and the other brass. You can just make out the
joint line between the two.
All paint and finish was done to Boeing specs. That's Red #45
View of the Tail Gunner.
