Catch-22 TB-25N 43-28204 (N9856C)

N9856C at Burbank in late 1968 shortly before departing for Mexico. The airplanes looked pristine, a look that would not last once the studio effects people got their hands on them. (Harry Gann via Norm Taylor Collection via Milo Peltzer Collection)
Marked as Booby Trap, N9856C in Mexico in 1969. (Stoney Stonich)
Great view of N9856C landing into the setting sun, probably at Chino circa 1974 or so. The last vestiges of its Catch-22 M+M paint scheme remain. (J.D. Davis aka Sledge 39)
N9856C made a dramatic arrival at the Gathering of Warbirds airshow at Madera in August 1980. Upon landing on the Friday summer evening, the right main tire blew out and the airplane skidded to a stop off the runway. A new tire later, it was good to go. (Scott Thompson)
N9856C was painted in a PBJ paint scheme, marked as Pacific Princess, and had distinctive nose art added. (Scott Thompson Collection)
Detail view of the nose art carried on Pacific Princess back in 1980s and 1990s when it was painted as a Navy PBJ. (Scott Thompson)
The PBJ scheme was stripped off around 2000 or so and the airplane went with a natural metal scheme, still retaining the Pacific Princess name and art. This is the airplane at the 2002 60th Anniversery Doolittle Reunion at Fresno in April 2002. (Scott Thompson)
