The EAA's "Aluminum Overcast" seen at McClellan Field in Sacramento in 2010. The B-17 was sold into the civil market in 1947 and enjoyed years of use, first as a transport and later for aerial survey. It became a "warbird" in 1978 and was donated to the EAA in 1981. (Photo by Scott Thompson)
