The Movie...

Some big European kidnap and heist movie. Comedy, more or less. Filmed in Italy. Raquel Welch (for you young'uns, look it up online). Haven't seen it. The B-17 shows up at the end.

All of the reviews are more interested in Raquel Welch than the B-17 appearance.

Proof: scientific survey of "interest" in web reviews: (Raquel Welch vs. B-17 F-BGSP)

Raquel Welch: 100%
B-17: 0%.

Anecdotal

  • The B-17G is seen in the final scenes of the film, and was obtained for use from the French Institut Géographique National that operated nearly a dozen B-17s in the 1960s for world-wide survey work.

  • Looking for a video capture showing the B-17 in the film. Let me know if you can help.

I was told this was a still taken from the film but I'm not so sure. Anyway, the salient points are that it shows, according to our scientific survey, the most important thing(s) in the film and the least important thing in the film. Judge for yourself.

(The background photo might have been shamelessly borrowed from here but it will be returned unharmed.)

Nothing subtle about that, eh?
