PS- an interesting little tidbit: This photo, which I took in May of 2012 at the Museum of flight in Seattle, shows two B-17s, both of which have a connection to 746! http://i44.photobucket.com/albums/f17/Jaypack44/B-17s-1sm_zps2f80ba61.jpg:original Part of 746's rear fuselage structure surrounding ...

Looking for information on SB-17G 44-85746
Hi all, I'm currently building a website dedicated to the wreck of SB-17G 44-85746 in the Olympic Mountains in Washington state. I have visited the wreck three times, and after my last visit this November, I decided to start the website project, which I had wanted to do since the first time I visite...

B-17 "blackjack"-possible recovery?
I was just wondering something: why hasn't the wreck of the B-17F "blackjack" in PNG been salvaged and/or recovered? from what I've read, it is still in excellent condidtion, so there could possibly still be usable parts in it. Yeah, I know, it's probably protected by law or something, but it's just...

B-17 crash location information
Hi all, I'm currently trying to find ALL the B-17s still in existence in Google Earth (I've got most of the restored ones), so if anyone can tell me what the GPS coordinates are, or can describe pretty specifically the locations of any B-17 crash/wreck sites, as well as what is left, that would be a...
