Just wondered what has happaned to this hybrid B-17?

I think it was under restoration for the WW2 Museum in New Orleans, then after that museum acquired B-17E 'My Gal Sal' 44-83387 went elsewhere.

Airplane remains under restoration to static display condition at a warehouse near LAX in southern California. It is a compilation of several airframes with some scratch-built sections. It is somewhat delayed from completion for unknown reasons but is still slated, as far as I know, for a as-yet not-revealed museum. Good guessers have a good idea, but it is not official. You'all need a copy of the fifth edition of Final Cut...heh heh.
