B-17 memorials

Post by terveurn »

As part of my books, have had the pleasure of finding many memorials dedicated to these ships and crews.

Newest one I found was dedicated on 21 August 2019 in Zegelsem, Belgium

42-102645 - 305th BG

Here's a link to a memorial about forty miles from where I grew up in northeast Nebraska. Two trainers from Sioux City (42-107144 and 42-107157) collided during a training flight, eighteen crew members, only one survivor.
