B-17E 41-9085
Does anyone have any early photos of B-17E S/N 41-9085? She was known as Lil' Butch or Jarrin' Jenny. I am looking for photos of her either as she arrived in England, or just before she was salvaged. One late photo shows her with an -F Model nose I want to know if she was in the same camouflage scheme as Peggy D.

Here you go. At first glance, it appears to be the OD over grey paint scheme.

Not sure when the navi's cheek window was upgraded, this is a B-17F mod that was retrofitted to the surviving E's. Not 100% sure, but confident that the E's were quickly phased out of combat ops either late August / early September 42 as soon as enough F's were available.OldBillB17F wrote: ↑Wed Jul 28, 2021 8:55 am Here you go. Thank you. I still need to find out if it had the same camouflage scheme as "Peggy D," since they both were early 8th AF arrivals.

Thank you. It does appear that through the reflections, it does have the camouflage scheme.
