I believe the upper turret on the B-24 was a Martin 250CE-15 not Bendix

He might have meant the tech order excerpt in the posting on the B-17E. It may have been on the next page that was not included in the post. Interesting section of the tech order. I'll have a look around to see if I can find the entire paragraph on Gunnery Equipment for the B-17E.
