From a recent EAA posting: "Last-Minute AirVenture Updates"
"July 22, 2005 - The B-17 Sentimental Journey will be arriving in Oshkosh to participate in AirVenture 2005. The bomber from the Commemorative Air Force gives AirVenture six B-17s - about half of all the airworthy B-17s in the world - on the field at Oshkosh this year. It's tough to know when the last time six B-17s were together on one airfield, but it will make for another historic moment at AirVenture. A number of those airplanes will be flying during the warbirds shows throughout the week, especially the extended warbirds shows on Friday and Saturday.
Along with the addition of the B-17 Sentimental Journey, there are several other late additions to the lineup on AeroShell Square. The American Military Heritage Museum is bringing its PV-2 Harpoon aircraft, while the 440th Air Force Reserve unit based in Milwaukee will have a C-130 on the square throughout the week.
Arriving on July 29 and staying through next weekend will be a Navy E-6B Mercury, which will be making its first appearance at AirVenture. There will also be several "heritage flights" through the week, matching a current military aircraft with a vintage military airplane for fly-bys."
