Amarillo B-17 Mechanic School
Re: Amarillo B-17 Mechanic School
England and France declared war on Germany when it invaded Poland in September 1939, although the USSR invaded Poland the same month, there was no declaration of war against the USSR. The U.S. entered WWII officially on 07 DEC 1941. The U.S. Navy had been engaged in a shooting war against German U-boats since the inception of neutrality patrols in mid-ocean during the summer of 1941. The war in Europe ended in May 1945 and the Japanese surrendered in September 1945.

I'm only too glad to share stuff like this. I'm an airplane mechanic myself and I love finding material pertaining to WWII maintenance training.
I do have to apologize, though. I haven't had any success getting the other photos "postable" as I'd promised. I'll keep working on it......
