This is probably old news but a couple of B-17s appeared in a 1977 episode of Baa Baa Black Sheep titled Trouble at Fort Apache.
The star was 44-83684 but carrying the nickname Fort Apache and some pretty uninspired artwork. Joel Fabiani is in the pilot’s seat.
Also appearing briefly and in the background was 44-83663, then with Yesterday’s Air Force.
The less said about the plot the better, but it was a sort of a YB-40 tale, with Joel Fabiani as a by-the-book general who believes his new, heavily armed B-17 don’t need no fighter escort. You can guess the rest. All the B-17 aerials were well-known shots from Wyler’s Memphis Belle.
Scott, feel free to move this to your “Movies/TV Shows With B-17 in Bit Parts” page if you want.

Steve,
Thanks for that bit of research. I will add this to that to the listing and set up a separate page and add the photos too.
