Mitchell F-AZID is reported as sold to Switzerland as HB-RED, to be feried later this month

Follow up:
Just hear that due to a typo-error at the Swiss offices, the registration became HB-RDE....

The former French Mitchell F-AZID was ferried today as HB-RDE from Dyon [F] to Sion [CH]. After a thorough de-icing at Dyon - the plane was ice-covered - the crew flew the 1945 built veteran bomber to Sion. Pilots were Peter Kuypers from the Netherlands [one of the Mitchell pilots in the Duke of Brabant Air Force] an Yves Castelier from Belgium [known for flying the Lysander]. "En route" the Mont Blanc was passed at some 12,000ft / FL120. Yes, rather cold. After an interesting fly by the plane landed around 16.00LT at her new homebase Sion.
