I recently found and washed the original seat bottoms for the Douglas built B17G- TEXAS RAIDERS

Does anyone know whether the Pilot's and Co-Pilots seat backs were OD canvas or were they the same delightful yellow?

Here is a preliminary schedule of appearances for TEXAS RAIDERS.

MAR 19 - 20 Jasper, TX Airshow

APR 2 (Sat) and April 3 (Sun) West Houston Open House - West Houston Airport (IWS) - for tours only- no revenue rides available at this location.

APR 8 (Fri) Houston Astros Opening Day Flyover, 1800 hrs, Overhead stadium - Weather permitting, of course.

MAY 6 - 8 Central Texas Airshow (Temple)

MAY 13 - 14 Corsicana, TX "Airsho"

May 20 -22 Hondo, TX

AUG 8 - 15 Colorado Springs, CO "B-17 Week" & 381st Bomb Group Reunion

OCT 7 - 10 Airsho'11, Midland, TX, CAF Hqs

OCT 14 - 16 Wings Over Houston

TEXAS RAIDERS successfully made it to Colorado Springs and back for the 381st Bomb Group (H) re-union.

After a supercharger impellor disentegrated in Engine #1 the maintenance team sweated out putting a rebuilt engine on and the break-in period just before the trip.

The latest as of Aug. 25, 2011 is we are having to change Cylinder #6 on Engine #3 for all you Studebaker fans.
Engine #3 has been blowing more smoke on take off and generally consuming more oil and a compression check showed it was time to "take steps."

Our core for Engine #1 is being readied to send to the re-builder.

If any of you Aerovintage fans are in the area, we will be flying Revenue Rides out of Huntsville, Texas on Sept. 24th and 25th.
