Must be loads of fun working on the Lacey Lady in the summer - when I saw it a few years ago it was full of hornets.
Good news about My Gal Sal, although I wonder if they plan to display it in the crash diorama as originally intended - the interior is so well restored it would be a shame to have it hanging from the ceiling.
As for the airframe it displaced, 44-83387, one of its "pilots" passed away on July 27th - Norman Alden, who played Major Truman H. Landon in Tora! Tora! Tora! in it with the famous line "Dammit! What a way to fly into a war - unarmed and out of gas!"
(Could 887's forward fuselage be backdated to a C model? Would be a big step forward for a certain project... and 40 years after TTT it would finally be correct for the movie... )

12 o'clock high movie is what its most famous for so rebuilding it to resemble Piccadilly Lilly would make more sense.Movie art on the pilot side and 100th bombgroup Piccadilly Lilly on the copilot side. You get the history of its movie life and a 100th BG bird on the airshow circut.A twofer.
