I have obtained this B-17 control wheel, and I would like to find out which B-17 it is from. It is reported to be from Butler A/C or TBM Inc. It may be from a tanker or USN/USCG. The switch on the R/H side was referred to as a cobra head by them. Thanks for the help.

Hey there:
Since you asked about one, but didn't point out which one, I know that the older style, with the wooden rim, is a replica.
But you know what's really funny, as far as the others are concerned? The same style was used in the B-17, B-29, B-50, C-97, and the civilian Model 377. But, whenever one shows up, it's always claimed to come from a B-17.
I think the one on the right probably, originally, came from C-97 or a 377.

The one on the right came from one of the B-17 tanker companies, I am just trying to find someone who knows which tanker it came from.
