Hang shared this picture of his dad's bird, which he had just received.
Pretty cool!

Correction! That's a friend of mine whose dad was a waist gunner on this 15AF bird. Just wondering if anyone has any details on it.Thanks for posting the pic Bill.

That's 42-102830 from the 2nd Bomb Group . . . tail gunner Charles F. Hollenberg painted the nose art.

Great pic!
Unrelated, but the nose art name reminds me of a story that 384th BG pilot Charles Allyn Lewis told me about the time one of their bombs got hung up on a bomb run (late war), so one of the crew stepped into the bomb bay to kick it loose after they left the formation and dropped to a lower altitude. The air swirling around the open bomb bay lifted the now-liquid pee out of a tin pot that the forward crew used to relive themselves and created a "yellow" cloud, giving the crewman a distinctive aroma and making him doubly mad! O h the humanity!
