Pink Lady History

Post by terveurn »

Just ran across an interesting MACR for Aircraft 43-39163

Seems this aircraft was struck by cluster bombs dropped by aircraft 846.

While there were several B-17's with that serial number, there seems to be only one that might fit this criteria and that being 44-8846 (AKA Pink Lady)

Has anybody else found this connection ??

I am sure you have the information but the group/squadron matches up and the dates work?
