Mail Plane

Post by Dan Johnson »

Another found on eBay. The writing on the back says it was forced down due to icing and low fuel in Canada on a return mail flight from India where it had made 16 trips previously. I don't see any sign of national insignia, and there is no date on it, but I assume that maybe this is postwar? And interesting B-17F anyway. Figured one of the experts might have some thoughts on which bird this is.

What a great article. Thanks for providing the link, that's a pretty good web-site. Nice photo Dan, keep checking good old "E-Bay". You have really found some good ones.
