YB-40 question?

Someone posted some very interesting photos of YB-40s on another forum.
My question is in regard to the circled areas below the rear turret on these two TB-40s shown in the attached composite photo. Are these large rectangular areas windows? Could they have something to do with the Pinball training program? I’ve read that the rear turret was where the gunner student was stationed while an instructor was in the front turret. If they are indeed some kind of window, it seems like a big chunk to be cutting out of the fuselage skin. Also, check out the flash suppressors on the rear turret guns. Any answers or theories would be appreciated.
