(Sir, could you move to your left a bit? You're blocking the serial number...)
Dave Osborne has this as 41-2416, San Antonio Rose, which was one of the Pearl Harbor attack arrivals; made it to Australia and was "eventually used as a hangar queen before WO at Brisbane 31/1/44" - and the photo is dated 12 Feb 44, so this could be it as it's being dismantled - can anyone verify if this is at Brisbane? The part that had me wondering was the second B-17E fuselage behind it with the big two-digit number on the nose - training code from a Florida base?
Over to the experts...

It’s 41-2467. To Hawaii early 1942 and flew with the 11th and 5th Bomb Groups in the South Pacific. Flown home (to the Oklahoma City Air Service Command) from the New Hebrides in October 1943 by Captain Phillip Hodges and crew. IARC only has the note “Class 26 on 12-4-43”, no other details.

It’s one I’d like to know a lot more about. Great photo.
