I enjoyed the B-17 News update as always, and by a happy coincidence this shot of one of the B-17Fs used in Passage to Marseille at Victorville just turned up on eBay . . .

Thread from the dead. Finally recorded this movie and checking it out - cool to see 42-30077, another Hobbs trainer (tail #86). Did Victorville have its own B-17 base unit, or would all the planes have come from elsewhere?
ETA: Looks like a third Hobbs ship - 42-29982 - may be in there as well, towards the end, although the two shots of it were a little blurry even on a big 4K TV.
