Let's do a closeup:

42-5753 was an F-9 photo-recon conversion; not sure if that tail marking was censored or just painted over.
Tail code "CD" (or CO or CU?) behind it, from the buzz number, is most likely 42-5348.

At Mose Lake AAF tail codes - first letter was the squadron, second letter was in in plane id

Tail patch is very distinctive for the squadron

from my book

"The original markings for the 396th BG consisted of a letter indicating the squadron ( 592 = A, 593 = B, 594 = C, 595 = D ) followed by the
individual aircraft letter directly above the serial number. Below the serial was a four digit airfield number. The letter combination was repeated on
the fuselage directly in front of the horizontal stabilizer as well as across the bomb-bay doors."

42-5753 was an 88th BG ship - maybe just visiting from Walla Walla - looks like the 317th BS insignia
