Well Goddam 41-24381

Post by terveurn »

Pacific Wreck is generally an excellent resource, but for once, something is array.

The mention that Well Goddam was stripped to bare metal when used as a VB-17, but this print from e-bay shows her in OD/G.

We know it is after 1944 as the B-17 in front has a pumpkin, and Clark Field was the scrapping yard for the Pacific B-17 in late 1945 / 1946

Unfortunately there's a lot of misinformation like this on Pacific Wrecks. Well Goddam was never stripped to bare metal, although it was repainted late 1943/early 1944.

Its last recorded location was Clark Field in July 1948.
