First B-17 book (besides my own) in a long while that I feel deserves a shout-out. Very well done, lots of new information (and some old friends as well). Jammed packed with photos and great lay-out.
Has the B-17's in the JNAF and Luftwaffe, as well as the obscure service with Taiwan and Portugal. Lots of post-WWII photos as well
Does not include the RAF Forts however.
Would give it 4++ stars, highly recommended.

Yes, just received my copy. Looks to be an excellent new source of information on an obscure part of the B-17 story. I plan to add a review of the book to m review page in short order.

Is this book finally available? I have been waiting for months for it to be released. Where did you get it? Amazon still lists this as a pre-order with a release date of August 2. Their price is $29.93, direct from the publisher it is $45.00.
This author also did an excellent book on the Swedish B-17s titled Swedish Fortress: The Boeing F-17 Fortress in Civil and Military Service it is available from the same publisher as is another excellent book on RAF Coastal Command Fortresses titled Boeing B-17 Fortress in RAF Coastal Command Service by Robert M. Stitt.
