I'm sure everybody here will want to join me in saluting George Prezioso, who celebrates his 90th Birthday on May 31, 2009. George flew as a radio operator in B-17s with the 43rd Bomb Group, and later with the 317th Troop Carrier Group. In all he flew 535 combat hours and 72 missions. He returned home in June 1944.

The picture on the left shows George in July 1943, safely back at Port Moresby after the ditching of the B-17 Black Jack off New Guinea. On the right he is in the Collings Foundation B-17G late last year.

Wow! I'd say he's doing quite well even at 90. What stories he must be able to tell.

Thanks for sharing that

Wow and a half!!!

MY Dad, who was a B-26 Marauder mechanic, and flew 5 missions with the 1st Provisional Pathfinder Squadron as a Top Turret Gunner, will only be 85!

Hats off to Mr. George Prezioso!!! He is, indeed, precious to us all!
God bless him!

Mr. Birdsall, thank you SO much for sharing this hero's story with us!!

with humble gratitude,

Dan Katz
