bluethunder28 and all, I do appreciate the comments. I usually get little feedback on the updates so I have to wonder if more than a few people read them. Don't mind doing it for a few loyalists, but it does take a bit of time so I may need to rethink how much time I spend on it. I probably spent a good 30 hours on the Catch-22 addition I'm adding shortly, but that's a one time shot, for the most part. Once it's up, its just a maintenance item once in a while. Thus, I do appreciate the feedback, good, bad, or indifferent.

The updates are very much appreciated as is the amount of time and effort you put into them.
This is an everyday stop, at least once if not more for me. I'm guessing there are many folks doing the same thing too

Yeah, I guess we kinda take you for granted, but; your site is number five on my favourites list, right behind the weather channel! lol.
I always look forward to the updates.

Well, I finally signed up a little while ago.
Scott, when I emailed those photos from Amarillo to you I thought I sent along the serial number of #79, Moonbeam McSwine. I'm pretty certain that it is 38-268. Sorry about not sending along the info.
More later,
Scott

Yes, welcome Scott. You'll love it here.
By the way, in your recent travels did you come across anything that might identify the B-17 Amarillo Avenger? In his April 2009 B-17 Update Scott T. posted a clipping about it from the November 1943 issue of The American Pilot. The nose windows seem to identify it as an early Boeing or maybe Douglas B-17F.

Hi guys, funny meeting y'all here!
Steve,
Didn't I send this one to you? If not, I apologize. Here's the nose (fresh from the Base Photo Department rather than the newspaper) and a poor quality blown up shot of the data block.
I'll email you the original ASAP.
Scott
