I sent this to the Shell Oil Company.

During the 1930s James H. Doolittle was in charge of the Aviation Department of Shell Oil. His accomplishments in Aviation and his contributions to the Shell Oil Company can not be listed here. As a Colonel in the Army Air Corp, Jimmy Doolittle took 16 North American B-25B land Based Medium Bombers off the deck of the aircraft carrier USS Hornet, and flew into fame on April 18, 1942 as the leader of the Tokyo Raid, and his flight crews from that day forward were known as the "Tokyo Raiders" he led 80 brave men on what was essentially could have been a suicide mission.
Today there are only 9 of these brave men survive.
The National Museum of the United States Air Force, at Wright Patterson AFB/Dayton Ohio, is honoring the Tokyo Raiders 16-18 April 2010 for their 68th Reunion.
The Museum has expressed a desire to bring in 25 North American B-25 Mitchells in for the reunion.
The Museum, is looking for sponsors, as the museum is NOT funded by the US Air Force.
Would Shell Oil Company, be willing to honor its most famous former employee, the late great Lt. General James H. Doolittle - and the Tokyo Raiders, by becoming a Sponsor for fuel, oil, and hydraulic fluids for this event?
please check out the website below for details on how Shell Oil can support aviation history.

Oh trust me, I will! I even sent a letter to the sponsorship group at shell, because their fax machine was tango uniform on receiving. So the effort has been made. It would be cool of Shell to step up to the plate and sponsor all the 25s at this gathering. It wouldn't put a dent in their profit margine they have made in the past 2 years. Think about the advertizing.B-25s and the shell oil company with film clips of the great Jimmy Doolittle!

Hi Gary,

It might be an idea to check with the Nat Museum in Dayton OH what contacts with Shell they have in order to avoid that your letters cross the discussions of the Museum. Idea?
See ya in Dayton next April?

Kind regards, Coert

Coert, That is why I added the link http://www.nationalmuseum.af.mil/news/s ... =123177923 that specifies that below

Those interested in helping to make this flight of B-25 bombers possible should contact Tom Casey with the Doolittle Tokyo Raiders Association, Inc. at (941) 921-7361 or by email at: tomcat911@comcast.net. (Federal endorsement is not implied.)
