I would like to know the exact location of the Model 299 wreck at Wright Patterson. Does anyone have any information?
Thanks, Jason

I would imagine that the Base Historian might be able to help you.
The Public Affairs Office would be the place to go to see if they can give you a Point Of Contact (POC)
Good Luck

Well, it happened at Wright Field back when there were no runways, it literally being a "field." A fragmented crash report suggests it taxied off the concrete tarmac and began its takeoff roll, indicating it was headed west or southwest, and it didn't get too far. All this would suggest the crash site is probably east or northeast of the current NMUSAF complex, an area which remains largely a substantial open field. This is not exact but puts it in the general area. See this Google Map link for an aerial of the field:
