USAAF Accident Reports- Where to look?
Posted: Sun Jul 11, 2010 3:55 pm
Good day everyone. I'm new to this forum, I signed up about two weeks ago, and it seems there are several here that are very adept to finding a lot of historical information. My dad recently told me that my grandfather was a bombadier instructor during WWII. While based at Lowry Field, Colorado he was in the nose of a Beech 18 (presumably an AT-11) that ground looped and flipped on its back. According my dad my grandfather suffered some minor back trouble the rest of his life.
If this oral history is true I would like to see if I can locate the accident report, because from what I've seen on this forum the crew of the aircraft are listed on the report.
Cheers,
Chappie
