One may be wondering, "How did HANG know that was a sharkfin B-17?"

I can clearly see a framed nose B-17, but it could be a B-17E.

Here's the clue:
The pitot tube mounts are at Rib 1A and are wedge-shaped.
B-17E pitot tube mounts are 20" long streamlined steel tubes,
and are mounted in front of BLK #2.
