Good stuff! I think I saw that TBM in an Alan Ladd movie - probably either Saigon (1948) or Thunder in the East (1952) - when I saw the last couple minutes of it on TCM. I remember seeing four digits on the vertical that may have been 9394 - anyone verify?

Great photos Scott, love the TBM and the Electra. I didn't know there was a Tallmantz -Earhart connection, or that her number was basically retired! That red P-51C looks like it could still set some records. Thanks for keeping the Tallmantz story alive as I have learned so much from them.
