Best aerial chase ever ? ?

Frank Tallman on the helicopter vs Stearman chase in "Capricorn One" (1978)

..." The most dangerous and complex aerial sequence ever executed for a movie "...

Tallman flew a Stearman PT-13D N4766V in the crop-duster biplane vs two Hughes 500C helicopters chase

Tallman flying for Telly Savalas, (unknown) for Elliot Gould in front, and James Brolin on wing

The crop spray "smoke screen" causes the pursuing helicopters to crash into a cliff

Info from "IMDB" and "The Aircraft-Spotter's Film and Television Companion" By Simon D. Beck (2016)

screen grabs from the movie

JD,

Absolutely yes, some great flying by Mr. Tallman. I re-watched the movie recently and particularly enjoyed seeing those sequences again. No CGI involved. Thanks for posting the screenshots.

CGI no, miniatures yes (for the helicopter crashes). Very good quality - like the Lydecker brothers had done it.
