If memory serves, Carole Landis married a P-38 pilot. Being a bit of a P-38 history person too, I've come across photos of her in a number of different 38 Group histories, from both the PTO and ETO. There is one photo of her on a return from a flight in a 38 where she was riding behind the pilot. Sadly a suicide not too long after the war at a young age.
