Wondering if those looking for the records for the stored aircraft at the RFC bases have been looking in all the wrong places.
Just received the CD for South Plains AAF (the original destination for all the returning B-17) and interesting reading.
What caught my eye was all these aircraft were inventoried at South Plains before being "sold" to the ATC for ferry the Kingman, Walnut Ridge and Stillwater. Inventoried before being turned over to RDC.
