The B-17 Flying Fortress in New Zealand
There's a very interesting B-17 thread at http://rnzaf.proboards43.com/index.cgi? ... 580&page=1

That's some amazing info and some great photos. I'm very much enjoying your B17 posts both here and on WIX Mr. Birdsall.
Flying Buccaneers and Log of the Liberators have long been on my shelf, with Flying Buccaneers being in my top 5 aviation history books of all time. I keep having to buy more copies of it as I keep giving mine away to folks who get interested in the 5th AF.

Well, I have to chime in here about Steve and his books. My first B-17 book was this well-used volume given to me as a Christmas present in 1967 when I was but a wee lad of thirteen.
Still use the book on occasion, and I very much enjoy Steve's contributions to this website and my correspondence with him some, gulp, forty years later.
