How very tragic this had to happen! She will be missed. Glad everyone was O.K.

Has it been determined why the fire started?

There are no words to describe this terrible tragedy , but thank heavens no one was hurt.

To be accurate, there was one person hurt, although not badly.
He hit his head exiting the aircraft, and required stitches.

And I have not heard any definitive reason as to why the fire started.

EAA's Aluminum Overcast flew in to my town for a couple of days this week and I stopped by. I heard a mechanic say that there was a persistent fuel leak they were working on and they thought it had been fixed... :(

Hmmm.... hadn't heard that one before.

Oh well, I guess if the EAA mechanic said it, it must be true. :wink: :wink:

I haven't heard anything definitive either.
