Wright-Patterson tour

Post by beast44k »

Took the wife and kids to Dayton yesterday, I was the only one who got the chance to go on the restoration tour.
Truly an amazing experience, but it's sad, as many of you know, that it's being discontinued May 1st.

The Memphis Belle is coming along nicely, and the Swoosh has a good start, but a long way to go.
I'm just glad I got to see them up close and personal when I did.

Great photos! Looks like everything is coming right along. Yes it is a shame about the tours, any hope that they can be saved?

I hear ya, I really hope they can find a way to bring it back in the future, but honestly, I doubt it will.
The B-17s are the stars of the tour, but there's just so much stuff in there that will never make it the museum.
Who knows, maybe they'll do fund raising tours in the future.....I'd gladly pay to go on it again.
