B-17 Parts

Post by Dave »

Would it be possible to perhaps put an area aside for the listing of spare parts that people have, or even a list of things they require.

There are a few restorations going on and also there are quite a few people in the US and the UK that have parts for maybe trade or sale.

Just a thought on trying to get a good database of items that are avaliable.

This could incorporate informations on drawings and blueprints.

Any thought?

Scott -

This may not be a bad idea, having a forum
tag for B-17 parts. I know I can provide a
pretty nice list of what we have.

Dave - Any luck on the square tubing?

Scott, we keep a running parts list of what we have for the B-17. I will be happy to send a list and future updates to anyone who wants it

Parts

Post by Dave »

Wow, looks like I will have to get on and write a list of what I have and need,
I do have a B-17 Chin turret controller...somewhere.

I know i am pushing it now but is there the capability of being able to have pictures of the parts on offer as well?
But i suppose we could just e-mail them to whoever is interested.

Bill, No luck as yet, but still looking

Regarding the posting of photos: no, not pushing it. The only thing is, the Board configuration requires that the photos be available somewhere online (Photobucket?) and then you link to that photo in you posting. The photo will then appear in the posting. Not necessarily easy but do-able.
