This is a B-17E from the 1st Weather Reconnaissance Squadron but I don’t have the serial number or any other worthwhile information about it. Apparently this unit had three B-17Es, all veterans of the Aleutians . . . 41-9140 was one of the three, 41-9106 might have been another. The navigator’s name painted on The Green Banana is Lt L. W. May.
