This just showed up in a WIX thread. The surplus B-17G 43-38978 at the Corvallis, OR airport has so far eluded the search for a photo - until now:

Field code looks like "24"; Osborne says this plane spent most of its career at Eglin - correct, terveurn?

The number 24 should date from her time at Hendricks - she should also have the number repeated on her nose.
Nothing interesting on her card - pretty boring. Eglin Test Flight for 10 months, Hendricks for 2 months, then Altus for disposal.
